Milcom Blog Log - 10/12/2008 - Btown NC

Monitored the USAF MARS Region 1 1S1 Morning Net at 1300 10/12/2008 on their net primary (RC) of 7630.5 kHz (USB). AFA1NF was net control. Also did continuity checks on their RB secondary frequency of 4593.5 kHz (USB). Some discussion about the new reorganization of the USAF MARS that is being implemented to conform to the FEMA region model (like the Navy and Army MARS have already done).

Also monitored the Sunday USAF MARS TDN (Transcon Digital Net) at 1435 using MFSK16 on their TPG designated frequency of 7680.6 kHz.

Here is a map that shows the new alignment of Regions and Areas for the USAF MARS organization. The reorganization is scheduled to be completed by 1 January 2009.
